The Ventura County Classical Guitar Society (visit VCCGS.com) met at the Senior Center (1605 Burnley) in Camarillo, California, on Wednesday, October 25, 2006. Our meetings are held on the last Wednesday of (nearly) every month beginning at 7PM. Admission is free. For information, phone (805) 482-6224.

At 8PM, our guest, Aaron Spoor played his program. Currently Aaron is on the faculty at Mt. San Antonio College, in Walnut, California, where he teaches Fundamentals of Music Theory. (For more information about Aaron, check out his web site HERE.)
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 29, at 7PM. Our guest will be Tina Karen Lo.
Tina Karen is a native of Hong Kong and is regarded as one of the territory's foremost classical guitarists. She started lessons with George Sakellariou while she was attending San Domenico School in Marin County, California. Later, she entered USC, studying under Pepe Romero, Professor James Smith and Tom Gaab. She is currently on the faculty of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has taught at the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program in California, USA.
